BIM Specialist

The BIM Specialist is responsible for leading the development, coordination, and management of Building Information Models across complex projects. The role provides technical leadership in BIM implementation, ensures compliance with BIM standards and execution plans, and supports project teams in delivering coordinated, accurate, and high-quality digital models throughout the project lifecycle.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead the development, coordination, and management of BIM models across all project phases, including design, construction, and handover.
• Oversee multidisciplinary model coordination (architectural, structural, MEP, and specialist disciplines).
• Manage clash detection processes and drive resolution of design and construction conflicts.
• Implement and enforce BIM Execution Plans (BEP), project standards, and client BIM requirements.
• Validate BIM models to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with established standards.
• Produce and manage BIM deliverables, including drawings, schedules, quantities, and data outputs.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to junior BIM staff and project teams.
• Support the implementation of advanced BIM uses, including 4D scheduling, 5D cost integration, and digital construction workflows.
• Coordinate with project managers, design leads, and external stakeholders on BIM-related matters.
• Manage BIM data exchange, Common Data Environments (CDEs), and model version control.
• Support as-built model development and BIM data handover for facility management and asset operation.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in BIM roles, including experience on large or complex projects.
• Advanced proficiency in BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks & AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding of BIM standards, workflows, and multidisciplinary coordination processes.
• Proven experience leading BIM coordination efforts and supporting project delivery teams.
• Experience working in accordance with ISO BIM standards.
• Knowledge of IFC standards and Common Data Environments (CDEs).
• Experience with 4D and 5D BIM tools and methodologies.
• Familiarity with digital engineering and construction technologies.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
