Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to lead market expansion and revenue growth in Algeria for our client.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive business development initiatives to establish and expand our client s footprint across Algeria

  • Identify new market opportunities, distribution channels, and strategic partnerships within agri commodities, fertilizers, and chemicals segments

  • Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders including distributors, traders, government bodies, and large farming enterprises

  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies tailored to the Algerian agricultural ecosystem

  • Achieve revenue targets and ensure consistent business growth in the region

  • Monitor market trends, pricing, competition, and regulatory landscape to inform business strategy

  • Lead contract negotiations and manage commercial agreements with partners and clients

  • Collaborate with internal teams (supply chain, operations, finance) to ensure seamless execution

  • Provide regular market intelligence and business performance reports to leadership

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in business development / sales within agri commodities, fertilizers, agrochemicals, or chemicals industry

  • Proven experience in building or expanding business in Algeria or North Africa region

  • Strong network across distributors, traders, and key players in the agricultural value chain

  • Good understanding of local regulatory frameworks, import/export dynamics, and market entry strategies

  • Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth and close large commercial deals

  • Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a hunter approach to business development

Preferred Profile

  • Experience working with multinational or regional companies in agri-inputs or commodity trading

  • Familiarity with crops, farming practices, and agri value chains in Algeria

  • Fluency in French and/or Arabic is highly preferred
