Business Development Manager

Job Purpose

Drive revenue and gross profit growth by identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities within the freight forwarding sector. Expand market share across Air, Sea, and Land freight while ensuring profitability, operational alignment, and high service standards.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Strategic:

Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with company growth targets.
Identify target markets, trade lanes, and key industry segments.
Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity.

Maintain a strong sales pipeline with accurate forecasting.

Operational:
Promote and sell logistics services including:
Air Freight, Ocean Freight (FCL/LCL), Land Transport, Warehousing, Customs Clearance, and Project Cargo.
Identify, prospect, and secure new customers.
Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing.
Prepare quotations, proposals, and client presentations.
Negotiate commercial terms in line with company pricing and margin guidelines.
Coordinate with Operations and Customer Service to ensure smooth onboarding and execution.
Maintain CRM updates, sales activity logs, and reporting.
Support RFQs, tenders, and contract submissions.
