Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
B. Key Responsibilities
Market Development & Opportunity Identification
- Research and identify new business opportunities, target markets, customers, and strategic partnerships within the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors.
- Research and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
- Identify new business opportunities, markets, and potential partnerships.
Client Relationship Management
- Build, maintain, and strengthen long-term relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Act as the main contact point for key accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and retention.
Business Growth
- Develop and execute sales strategies and action plans to drive revenue growth, increase market share, and achieve sales targets
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales and revenue targets.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and agreements to maximize profitability.
Strategic Partnerships & Networking
- Establish alliances, distribution channels, and licensing opportunities.
- Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
Business Planning & Forecasting
- Prepare business development plans aligned with company strategy.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts, performance reports, and market insights to management.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with marketing, regulatory, production, and finance teams to deliver business solutions.
- Ensure alignment of business opportunities with operational and compliance requirements.
Proposal & Contract Management
- Generate leads, manage the sales pipeline from lead generation to qualification and closing deals, and negotiate contracts and agreements.
- Draft and deliver business proposals, presentations, and bids.
- Manage the full cycle of deal negotiation and closure.
Innovation & Growth Initiatives
- Explore opportunities to expand product portfolios or enter new markets.
- Support management in evaluating mergers, acquisitions, or strategic investments.
Market Research, Analysis & Awareness
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to inform strategic planning and identify new growth areas
- Track customer behavior, prescribing patterns, and feedback.
- Forecast product demand and support business planning.
- Develops a deep understanding of market segments and customer needs and effectively translates to clear marketing requirements for product development
- Track competitive products and develop strategies to counter competitive strengths and exploit competitor weaknesses
Compliance
- Ensure that all activities comply with pharmaceutical regulations.
- Coordinate with legal and regulatory teams for approvals and documentation

Financial & Commercial Analysis
- Proficiency in financial modeling, ROI analysis, and cost benefit evaluation.
- Understanding of pricing, margins, cost of goods (COGS), and profitability in the pharma industry.
- Ability to prepare commercial proposals, forecasts, and business cases.
Contract Management
- Skilled in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating distribution, licensing, and supply agreements.
- Familiar with contract terms, risks, and compliance obligations.
- Ability to manage contract renewals, deliverables, and performance metrics.
Sales Forecasting & Business Analytics
- Proficient in sales trend analysis, demand forecasting, and KPI tracking.
- Uses data analytics and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho CRM, HubSpot) for business planning.
- Converts data into actionable insights for management decisions.
Regulatory & Compliance Knowledge
- Familiarity with local and international regulatory frameworks
- Ability to align business opportunities with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), licensing, and compliance standards.

Desired Candidate Profile
Education
Bachelor s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Business Management, Marketing, or a related field (MBA is an advantage).
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including at least 3 years in Business Development or Licensing roles.
- Proven experience in managing partnerships, licensing agreements, and market expansion initiatives.
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical regulations and commercial dynamics in MENA and/or international markets.
