Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed CAD drawings and shop drawings for fit-out joinery projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to design specifications and building codes.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of joinery elements into the overall project.
  • Conduct site visits to assess progress, address any on-site issues, and ensure the joinery installation aligns with the approved drawings and designs.
  • Create and manage bill of materials (BOMs) for joinery components, including accurate material quantities, dimensions, and specifications.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to joinery production teams, clarifying design intent and resolving any fabrication challenges.
  • Stay updated on the latest joinery techniques, materials, and industry trends to enhance design efficiency and innovation.
  • Review and approve shop drawings submitted by joinery subcontractors, ensuring compliance with design requirements and quality standards.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
  • Holds relevant professional certifications or licenses (e.g., Registered Architect) is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrates a minimum of 5 years of experience in fit-out joinery design, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
  • Proficient in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and other relevant design tools, with a strong ability to produce detailed shop drawings.
