Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Design and develop Calypso modules and interfaces, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems to optimize trading workflows.
  • Customize and configure Calypso's functionalities to meet specific business requirements, leveraging your expertise to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging of Calypso applications, meticulously identifying and resolving issues to maintain system stability.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate complex requirements into technical solutions, fostering a strong understanding of their needs.
  • Provide expert-level support and troubleshooting for Calypso users, resolving issues and offering guidance to minimize disruptions.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including technical specifications and user guides, to ensure knowledge transfer and system maintainability.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment, demonstrating your commitment to project success.
  • Optimize Calypso performance and ensure system scalability, proactively identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks.
  • Stay abreast of the latest Calypso features and updates, continuously enhancing your skillset to keep the systems current.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and best practices, championing innovation within the team.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Finance, or a related field, establishing a solid foundation in the relevant disciplines.
  • Holds relevant certifications in Calypso or a related financial technology, showcasing a commitment to professional development.
  • Has 3+ years of experience in the financial industry, with a focus on derivatives trading, demonstrating a deep understanding of the business domain.
  • Demonstrates a proven track record of working with Calypso, with experience in configuration, customization, and development.
  • Exhibits strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, and SQL, providing the technical expertise needed for the role.
  • Displays excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of dissecting complex issues and developing effective solutions.
  • Possesses exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates a proactive and results-oriented approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality results.
  • Is fluent in English, both written and spoken, facilitating effective communication with a global team and international clients.
  • Shows a strong understanding of financial markets and instruments, including derivatives, enhancing the ability to understand and address business needs.
