Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee all catering operations, ensuring seamless execution from setup to cleanup at events.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, understanding their needs to deliver personalized catering experiences.
- Manage inventory and supplies, ensuring all necessary equipment and ingredients are available for events.
- Supervise and train catering staff, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes efficiency and high service standards.
- Create detailed event timelines and checklists to ensure all tasks are completed on schedule.
- Implement and uphold food safety and hygiene standards, conducting regular inspections of food preparation areas.
- Monitor event budgets and expenses, providing accurate forecasts and financial reports to management.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery during events.
- Resolve any on-site issues or client concerns promptly, ensuring a positive experience for all attendees.
- Evaluate and improve catering processes regularly, seeking feedback from clients and staff to enhance service quality.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in catering or event management, demonstrating a proven track record in high-pressure environments.
- Certification in food safety and sanitation is essential to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Experience in budget management and cost control, showcasing the ability to handle financial aspects of catering operations.
- Fluency in English is required; additional language skills, such as Spanish or Mandarin, are a plus for diverse clientele.
- Strong leadership skills, capable of motivating and guiding a team while maintaining high morale.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, staff, and vendors.
- Proficiency in catering management software and Microsoft Office Suite for operational efficiency.
- Strong problem-solving abilities to address challenges quickly and effectively during events.
- A passionate and creative mindset, with an eye for detail to enhance the aesthetic and culinary aspects of catering.
