Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging training programs on fire protection systems, codes, and standards, ensuring participants gain practical knowledge and skills.
- Conduct hands-on training sessions, simulations, and practical exercises to reinforce theoretical concepts and promote real-world application.
- Assess trainee performance through examinations, evaluations, and practical assessments, providing constructive feedback and identifying areas for improvement.
- Stay current with the latest fire protection technologies, industry best practices, and regulatory updates to maintain training program relevance.
- Adapt training materials and delivery methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and experience levels within the trainee group.
- Manage training resources, including equipment, materials, and facilities, ensuring a safe and effective learning environment.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to trainees, fostering their professional development and career advancement in fire protection.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Possession of a valid Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) certification is mandatory, demonstrating professional competency.
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in fire protection design, installation, or inspection is required.
- Proven experience in training and instruction, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Strong understanding of fire protection codes, standards (NFPA, IBC, etc.), and relevant regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of delivering presentations and preparing training materials.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport and motivate trainees.
