Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full spectrum of financial accounting, including month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to UAE GAAP and IFRS.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, management reports, and variance analysis to provide insights into business performance and support strategic decision-making.
  • Manage and coordinate the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors and ensuring timely completion of audits in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain robust internal controls and financial policies to mitigate financial risks and ensure compliance with UAE regulations.
  • Prepare and file VAT returns and other tax-related submissions, staying updated on UAE tax laws and regulations.
  • Manage the budgeting and forecasting process, providing financial projections and variance analysis to track performance against budget.
  • Conduct financial due diligence for potential investments, acquisitions, or other strategic initiatives.
  • Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and training to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting operations and enhance efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial planning, analysis, and decision-making.
