Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Negotiate charter agreements with shipowners and brokers, ensuring optimal terms that align with company goals and risk management.
  • Conduct thorough market analysis to identify trends and opportunities, enabling informed decision-making on vessel deployment and chartering strategies.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration throughout the chartering process.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on chartering activities, vessel performance, and market conditions to senior management for strategic planning.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Business Administration, or a related field, providing a strong foundation for chartering expertise.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in chartering within the shipping or logistics industry, demonstrating a solid understanding of market dynamics.
  • Certifications in maritime law or chartering, such as a Diploma in Ship Chartering, to enhance credibility and knowledge in the field.
  • Proficiency in English is mandatory, with additional languages such as Mandarin or Spanish highly desirable for international dealings.
