Job Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef de Partie specializing in Lebanese pastry cuisine to join our culinary team in Madinah, Saudi Arabia. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for creating authentic Lebanese pastries and desserts, ensuring the highest quality and presentation standards are met.

  • Prepare and execute a variety of traditional Lebanese pastries and desserts with precision and creativity
  • Develop and refine pastry menus, incorporating seasonal ingredients and local flavors
  • Maintain consistent quality and presentation of pastry items
  • Manage pastry station operations, including inventory and stock rotation
  • Train and supervise junior pastry staff members
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure seamless kitchen operations
  • Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards
  • Contribute to menu planning and development of new pastry items
  • Assist in controlling food costs and minimizing waste
  • Participate in special events and catering operations as needed

Qualifications

  • Culinary degree or diploma with a specialization in pastry
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a pastry chef, preferably in Lebanese cuisine
  • Extensive knowledge of Lebanese pastries, desserts, and Middle Eastern flavors
  • Proven expertise in pastry preparation techniques and methods
  • Strong culinary skills and ability to work with specialized pastry equipment
  • Proficiency in menu planning and development
  • Excellent understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
  • Current food safety certification
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume kitchen environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Creativity and passion for Lebanese pastry cuisine
  • Ability to work in a culturally diverse environment
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items when necessary
