Chief Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily accounting operations, general ledger management, and financial reporting.
• Manage banking relationships and negotiate credit facilities and corporate loan structures.
• Handle treasury functions including cash flow monitoring and working capital optimisation.
• Monitor collateral exposure and ensure proper execution of collateral releases.
• Manage trade finance instruments including Letters of Credit (LCs) and Letters of Guarantee (LGs).
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and coordinate external audits.
• Prepare accurate financial statements and support month end and year end closing processes.

Requirements:

• Proven experience working directly with banks on corporate financial matters.
• Strong understanding of collateral management, valuation, and monitoring.
• Hands-on experience with trade finance instruments such as LCs and LGs.
• Strong background in financial reconciliations and reporting processes.
• Experience in treasury operations, cash management, and liquidity planning is preferred.
• Familiarity with ERP systems is an advantage.
• Ability to build and analyse financial models for debt and balance sheet impact evaluation.
