Chief Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting: Preparing accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and budgets to communicate the financial performance and position of the organization.
• Managing Accounts: Overseeing the organization s accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and taxation.
• Auditing and Compliance: Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and reporting requirements, as well as conducting internal and external audits.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Developing and managing the organization s financial budget and forecasting future financial performance.
• Strategic Planning: Participating in the development of long-term strategic plans, including evaluating financial risks and opportunities.
• Financial Analysis: Analyzing financial data and providing recommendations to improve financial performance, reduce costs, and increase revenue.
• Team Management: Supervising and managing the accounting team, including hiring, training, and evaluating staff.
• Financial Controls: Implementing and maintaining internal controls to safeguard the organization s assets and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
• Technology Implementation: Overseeing the implementation and use of accounting software and technology systems.
• Relationship Building: Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, bankers, and other financial professionals.
