Job Summary:
This role involves preparing and presenting timely financial statements in accordance with UAE regulations, managing daily accounting activities, and ensuring full compliance with tax, VAT, and labor laws. The Chief Accountant will coordinate with external auditors, assist in budgeting and forecasting, and perform financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. Additionally, they will lead and mentor the accounting team, drive process improvements, and effectively communicate financial insights to senior management and key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee the accounting operations for both Domus Flower LLC and 800 Flower company, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and compliance across these group companies.
Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements and reports in accordance with UAE financial regulations and internal policies.
Oversee daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
Ensure compliance with UAE tax laws, VAT regulations, and labour laws. Prepare and file tax returns and other compliance-related documentation.
Coordinate and liaise with external auditors during financial audits, ensuring all necessary documentation and information are provided.
Assist in developing the annual budget, conduct financial forecasting, and perform variance analysis to support management decisions.
Lead, supervise, and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Conduct financial analysis to support strategic planning and business decision-making.
Identify opportunities to streamline and improve accounting processes and internal controls.
Effectively communicate financial insights and data to senior management and other key stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related.
Minimum of 5 7 years of relevant accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
Prior experience in the FMCG industry is highly preferred, with a strong understanding of industry-specific accounting practices.
Strong knowledge of UAE financial regulations, VAT, and tax compliance.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., FACTS or similar ERP systems).
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and financial modeling.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
High level of integrity and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
