Job Description

As a Civil Engineer specializing in Utility Infrastructure Projects, you will play a crucial role in designing, planning, and overseeing the construction and maintenance of utility infrastructure systems. This includes water, sewage, and power systems that are essential for the community s day-to-day operations. Working on diverse projects, you ll collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering professionals to ensure the safe, efficient, and sustainable development of infrastructure. Your expertise will be integral in tackling unique challenges presented by each project, whether you re involved in new constructions, renovations, or maintenance efforts. This position demands a thorough understanding of engineering principles, hands-on experience with modern design and analysis software, and a commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.


Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed designs and plans for utility infrastructure projects based on client specifications.
  • Conduct site investigations to assess the feasibility and environmental impact of proposed constructions.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and government officials to ensure project success.
  • Perform complex calculations and use modeling software to forecast project demands.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders and regulatory agencies.
  • Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal engineering guidelines and standards.
  • Supervise the construction process to ensure adherence to design specifications and safety standards.
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources efficiently to meet objectives.
  • Analyze data and conduct quality control inspections to ensure project integrity.
  • Address technical challenges and provide innovative solutions during project development.
  • Engage in continual professional development to maintain licensing and certifications.
  • Implement environmental protection measures and sustainability practices in all projects.

Requirements
  • Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain licensure within a year.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in utility infrastructure or similar engineering projects.
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) and engineering analysis software tools.
  • Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal construction and safety regulations.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing projects from conception through completion.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
