Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for civil engineering projects, encompassing all aspects from site clearance to final finishes.
  • Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to fully understand project requirements and potential risks.
  • Conduct thorough quantity take-offs, ensuring precision in material, labor, and equipment calculations to minimize cost overruns.
  • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids, negotiating favorable terms to maximize project profitability.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Holds relevant professional certifications, such as a Certified Estimator (CE) or Chartered Quantity Surveyor (MRICS).
  • Demonstrates a minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering estimating, with a strong focus on infrastructure projects.
  • Exhibits a proven track record of successfully estimating projects ranging in value from $1 million to $50 million.
