Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Perform inspection and surveillance of surface preparation and coating activities

  • Ensure coating works comply with approved procedures, specifications, and ITPs

  • Inspect coating application methods, materials, and workmanship

  • Verify environmental conditions, surface preparation, and coating thickness

  • Review and validate inspection reports, test results, and quality documentation

  • Ensure quality system requirements are implemented and maintained at site

  • Identify non-conformances, raise NCRs, and monitor corrective actions

  • Coordinate with contractors, QA/QC teams, and client representatives

  • Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation

Desired Candidate Profile

Job Summary The Coating Inspector is responsible for performing inspection and quality surveillance activities related to surface preparation and coating applications to ensure compliance with approved specifications, international standards, and quality management system requirements. The role supports safe, durable, and compliant coating works across industrial and oil & gas projects.


Mandatory Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering in a relevant discipline with minimum 4 years of coating inspection experience, OR

  • Two (2) years Industrial / Technical Diploma with minimum 8 years of relevant coating inspection experience

  • Proven experience in all phases and types of critical coating applications and methods

  • Good knowledge of applicable international coating standards

  • CSWIP–BGAS Level 2 or NACE Level 2 (mandatory)

  • Quality Management System awareness

  • Good working knowledge of quality system standards and inspection methods

  • If applicable, valid ARAMCO CBT with SAP number and CBT details
