The Cluster Commercial Director role overview
Lead strategic sales, marketing, and revenue initiatives for the Al Seef Cluster (Canopy Al Seef, Heritage Hotel Al Seef, Curio Collection by Hilton and Hampton by Hilton Al Seef) in the heart of Dubai.
This senior leadership role offers the opportunity to shape commercial performance, maximize profitability, and grow market share in one of the region s most dynamic hospitality markets. Desired Candidate Profile
What are we looking for?
A Commercial Director who leads the development and execution of an overall strategic commercial plan that maximize profitability for the hotel to achieve budget, revenue and market share targets.
Position Summary:
Sales & marketing
-
Directs the hotel in the development, implementation and achievement of the sales annual business objectives.

Provides leadership, guidance and assistance relating to the execution of marketing and sales functions, policies and standards as established by the Company.

Capitalizes on the company s marketing, sales programs and resources.

Participates in the sales process via customer meetings, entertainment and attendance at client and other relevant industry events.

Directs coordination of cross-selling, joint marketing initiatives and other hotel/brand synergies to maximize exposure and profitability including agency contact, media planning and hotel communications.

Directs the solicitation efforts of the sales staff through effective oral and written communication while providing strategic direction of rate, date and space commitments (where required) for the properties.

Develop and implements strategic and tactical plans to maintain current base and increase the hotel s share in transient market.

Directs the preparation of reports pertaining to the operation of the Sales and Marketing Department to include, but not limited to the annual and monthly Forecast, Marketing Budget, Lead Management System, Booking Report, Delphi Reports, Sales Meetings and Marketing Meeting Minutes.

Directs the ongoing research of the travel industry local and national market to detect market trends and related information for development of new marketing strategies.

Directs the efforts to improve potential from various existing and new markets
Revenue Management:
-
Provides strategic revenue management plans within the hotel to include rate development, establishment of group thresholds, space utilization policy, deployment strategies through the review of competitive data, demand analysis and market mix management.

Oversees and maximize revenue contribution from major distribution channels.

Ensures effective utilization of Profit Pack and other utilized Selective Selling guidelines to maximize revenue contribution from all segments.
Human Resources:

Oversees the management, training and career development of the commercial team

Responsible for recruiting and identifying candidates for relevant positions in the team.

Recommends appropriate compensation levels within parameters of competitive landscape. Also ensures the Incentive systems as defined by the company are implemented

Participates in maintaining performance standards of the team and ensuring feedback is given to the teams.

Assures effective utilization and adherence to standards relating to current systems in place at the hotel.

Other:

Regular attendance in conformance with standards, which may be established by Hilton from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. This list of essential functions is not exhaustive and might be supplemented as necessary.
