Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Task Description:
- Prepare and present a variety of cold dishes at designated workstations, ensuring each dish meets the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment by regularly cleaning and sanitizing work areas and equipment, strictly adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Provide essential support to the Chef de Partie, assisting with various tasks as needed. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a commitment to maintaining high standards, and the ability to work collaboratively within the kitchen team.
- Monitor and assist with the Section workflow.
- Prepare raw meat, fish, and vegetables.
- Create garnishes for dishes.
- Unload deliveries and rotate stock to prevent spoilage.
- Maintain sauces in optimal condition.
- Commis 2 with food distribution.
- Perform duties assigned by Sous Chef.
- Guarantee food is fresh, hygienic, and chilled and stored according to Company standards.
- Maintain HACCP standards for dry and cold storage, and clean and tidy kitchen and utensils.
- Continuously improve health and safety standards.
- Interact with Department and Company employees, management, and contractors professionally and positively.
- Attend department and inter-department meetings and share relevant information.
- Encourage good relationships, promote team spirit, and ensure effective two-way and multicultural
- Adhere to the Company policies and procedures and comply with the Code of Conduct.
- Remain well-mannered, well-groomed, and hygienic as per Department and Company standards at all times.
- Follow health and safety standards and strive for constant improvement to avoid health and injury hazards.
- Participate in the Company recycling program and follow a strict discipline to reduce, re-use, and recycle wherever possible.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications:
- Secondary school or above.
- Fresh Culinary Graduate or 1 year of professional experience.
- Understanding of HACCP standards and guidelines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with employees and management.
- Attention to detail to ensure cleanliness and compliance with health and safety standards.
- Able to work on shifts and be flexible regarding work schedules according to business demand.
