Job Description

As a Commis III in our Pastry Kitchen, you will play a pivotal role in crafting mouth-watering desserts that leave our guests delighted. Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing and presenting high-quality pastry dishes daily.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen at all times.
  • Support senior chefs in pastry preparation and execution of recipes.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations within the kitchen area.
  • Measure and mix ingredients accurately to produce consistent results.
  • Contribute to the development of new pastry items and menu ideas.
  • Inspect and ensure quality control of all ingredients and finished products.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, minimizing waste.
  • Support inventory management by stocking ingredients and supplies appropriately.
  • Assist in plating and garnishing pastries for banquet or service presentation.
  • Participate in daily pre-service and post-service operations meetings.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Requirements
  • Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in a pastry setting.
  • Basic understanding of pastry processing techniques and kitchen safety standards.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and carry out duties to completion.
  • Demonstrates creativity and a passion for pastry arts and dessert making.
  • Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Food Handler's Certificate or equivalent certification is preferred by employers.
