Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Lead and manage the entire plant start-up process, including not limited pre-commissioning, commissioning, trial run, and formal start up. Ensure alignment with project timelines, budget, and quality standards.

2. Develop, review and implement start-up plans, procedures, and checklists, including system cleaning, purging, leak testing, inerting and trial operation. Ensure compliance with technical specifications and safety requirements.

3. Oversee the coordination and cross-functional teams(engineering, maintenance, operation, HSE, quality) and external stakeholders during start-up activities, assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and resolving interdepartmental conflicts.

4. Troubleshoot complex technical issues.

5. Monitor and optimize start-up performance, including equipment efficiency, product quality, making adjustments to ensure the plant reaches design capacity and operational stability.

6. Lead and develop the team members, provide training, guidance to enhance team competence, safety awareness, accountabilities and continuous improvement.

Desired Candidate Profile

  1. Bachelor degree or higher in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related technical discipline.

  2. More than 15 years relevant experiences in petrochemical, oil & gas plant with at least 8 years of experiences in a start-up manager roles overseeing large-scale gas plant start-ups.

  3. Proven track record of successfully leading the start-up of oil & gas plant, from pre-commissioning to full operation, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery and compliance with safety and quality standards.

  4. Extensive knowledge of petrochemical processes, equipment and control system with experiences in trouble shooting complex issues.

  5. Familiarity with middle east market standards, if have ADNOC experiences will be plus.
