Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
As a Compliance Associate at Tamara, you will play a key role in ensuring that all company operations, products, and communications align with SAMA s regulatory requirements and Tamara s internal governance standards. Operating under the Financing Sector and preparing for Tamara s upcoming transition to the Payments Sector, you will help maintain a robust compliance framework that promotes accountability, transparency, and readiness for regulatory oversight.
You will support the department in reviewing policies, contracts, products, and advertisements; conducting internal inspections; preparing regulatory submissions; and ensuring all compliance activities are properly documented and traceable. Through your work, you will help safeguard Tamara s regulatory standing while enabling responsible business growth and innovation.
You are detail-oriented, curious, and collaborative someone who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment where compliance acts as a trusted business partner.
Your responsibilities
- Support as a point of contact with SAMA by helping the team prepare responses, track requests, and organize regulatory communications and inspections.
- Help prepare and submit regulatory reports, both periodic and ad-hoc, by coordinating with other teams to collect and verify the required information.
- Assist in conducting compliance reviews and inspections to check that internal practices meet SAMA s regulations and company policies.
- Review policies, contracts, products, and marketing materials with guidance from senior team members to make sure they follow regulatory and consumer-protection requirements.
- Work closely with business teams to help them understand regulatory expectations and ensure new initiatives are compliant before launch.
- Help develop and update compliance guides, trackers, and awareness materials to support different departments.
- Support in maintaining and updating the Annual Compliance Plan, tracking deadlines, progress, and follow-up actions.
- Make sure that all compliance activities, reports, and communications with SAMA are clearly documented and easy to trace for future reference.
- Track and follow up on open compliance observations to ensure they are resolved within the agreed timelines.
Skills
- Basic understanding of SAMA s finance and payments regulations, with eagerness to learn more through hands-on experience.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills to review information, spot gaps, and support regulatory reporting.
- Good documentation and reporting skills, ensuring accuracy and traceability in all compliance activities.
- Clear and professional communication skills in both Arabic and English for working with internal teams and regulators.
- Strong collaboration and coordination abilities to support cross-functional teams in meeting compliance requirements.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining complete records of compliance reviews, submissions, and communications.
