Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as SCA Accredited Compliance Officer for the Asset Management business.
  • Provide comprehensive compliance coverage to ensure effective implementation of compliance frameworks.
  • Oversee full compliance with SCA regulations across asset management operations.
  • Manage AML and CTF frameworks to safeguard the integrity and reputation of FAB Asset Management.
  • Lead regulatory change management, ensuring alignment with evolving regulatory expectations.
  • Develop and deliver compliance training for business teams and functional departments.
  • Liaise with SCA and ensure timely submission of reports and regulatory documentation.
  • Provide regulatory guidance on SCA requirements to internal stakeholders.
  • Implement and monitor compliance review programs to ensure ongoing regulatory adherence.
  • Support new product compliance assessments and advise the business on regulatory fit.
  • Contribute to the fund approval process by ensuring compliance with all SCA requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal partners on escalated compliance issues.
  • Track and communicate updates related to compliance regulations and policy changes.
  • Manage direct reporting responsibilities to the board and administrative reporting to the CEO.

Desired Candidate Profile

Meets SCA accreditation requirements, including academic qualifications, professional certifications, and SCA exam completion.

Strong knowledge of asset management compliance and relevant regulatory frameworks.

Proven experience designing and implementing compliance controls, policies, and procedures.

Prior MLRO experience and understanding of AML/CTF risks across higher-risk regions and products.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Arabic language proficiency is an advantage due to regulatory interaction.
