Construction Planning Engineer

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Planning Engineer to join our team in Baghdad. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in the construction sector, preferably with experience in high-rise or tower projects, and be proficient in Primavera P6 and MS Project. The role involves developing and managing project schedules, tracking progress, coordinating with stakeholders, and supporting risk mitigation across active construction projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Work closely with Project Managers, Architects, Engineers, Contractors, and Clients to define project scope, goals, and specific requirements.

Prepare detailed construction schedules, including timelines, key milestones, and resource planning.

Monitor progress to ensure adherence to approved schedules.

Manage changes and potential conflicts in the schedule, and communicate updates to all relevant parties.

Coordinate with site teams and supervisors to align schedules with the overall project plan.

Support critical path analysis and overall timeline development.

Allocate and manage construction resources for multiple concurrent projects, including manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractors.

Maintain well-organized record of schedules for each project, updating them as necessary.

Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.

At least 6 years of experience in planning and scheduling construction projects.

Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and other scheduling tools.

Strong understanding of construction codes and regulations, safety practices, and quality control standards.

Ability to adapt to evolving project requirements and shifting priorities.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
