Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary The Consultant Adult Intensivist will provide expert management of critically ill adult patients in the Intensive Care Unit. The role involves leading multidisciplinary critical care teams and ensuring delivery of high-quality, evidence-based ICU services.
Key Responsibilities

  • Manage critically ill adult patients requiring advanced life support.
  • Provide expertise in mechanical ventilation, hemodynamic monitoring, and organ support therapies.
  • Lead resuscitation and rapid response initiatives.
  • Collaborate with medical, surgical, and emergency departments.
  • Develop and implement ICU protocols and clinical pathways.
  • Supervise ICU physicians and participate in teaching programs.
  • Contribute to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
  • Participate in on-call and shift coverage as required.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent).
  • Board Certification in Internal Medicine, Anaesthesiology, or Emergency Medicine.
  • Fellowship in Critical Care Medicine / Intensive Care.
  • Qualifications accepted from:
    • UK (CCT)
    • USA (American Board Certification)
    • Canada (RCPSC)
  • Minimum 3 5 years experience as Consultant Intensivist.
