1) Manage the assigned clinics as per the approved rota by the Medical Director.

2) Responsible for initial assessment, requesting investigation, analyzing the rest results, diagnosis, treatment, and re-assessment on follow- up.

3) Admit the patients under his/ her care whenever indicated within the limits of the approved and assigned privileges.

4) Prescribe or administer therapy, medication, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness or disease.

5) Explain procedures and discuss diagnostic results or prescribed treatments with the patients and his/ her attendants.

6) Responsible for monitoring the patients' condition and progress and re-evaluate/ re-assessment and treat the patient accordingly.

7) Refer patient to other specialists when necessary, also consult with, or provide consulting services to, other physicians whenever requested.

8) Take daily rounds for his/ her In-Patients and referred patients.

9) Write the patients complete medical record on time and also update the progress notes on same time.

10) Perform diagnostic or therapeutic procedures for which he/ she is specifically privileged according to his/ her qualification, licenses, training & experience.

11) Authenticate the medical records at initial entries and progress notes by logging in with own username and password in Patient Health Records.

12) Responsible for approving the Discharge Summary, follow-ups, Medical Report of his/ her patients.

13) Ensure the implementation of all the approved policies and procedures, rules, regulations, protocols and guidelines, clinical pathways that guide and support the provision of clinical services.

14) Direct and coordinate activities of nurses, assistants, specialists, therapists, and other medical staff in patient care.

15) Contribute to the development of policies and procedures as part of the continuous quality improvement of his/ her department.

16) Serve on Departmental / Hospital Committees as requested.

17)Ensure that Islamic Values and Medical Ethics are respected and strictly observed.

18) Be On-Call as per hospital policy, as needed and will assume the duties of Head of Department.

19) Responsible to attend the Code Blue (if applicable) and should be involved in all other emergency codes of the hospital.

20) Ensure that all reports and information as required by the Head of the Department/ Medical Director are provided.

21) Identify and appropriately transferring all the Medico-Legal Cases on time with all the proper documentation and information to the hospital management as per the hospital policy.

22 ) Participate in the provision of clinical / academic activities of the hospital.

23) Play an active role in the education of the patient and his/ her family on a healthy lifestyle. Contributes to awareness and education of the community, in general, on issues related to health.

24) Be regular and punctual in the duties assigned as per the schedule

25) Follow all hospital policies and procedures.

26) Obtain informed consent for all patients in accordance with hospital policy for the undertaking of any diagnostic procedure, operation, test or procedure.

27) Participate in, and lead person-centered care initiatives undertaken by HMG.

28) Provide orientation, bedside training and supervision to undergraduate and postgraduate trainees (interns, residents and fellows) as assigned.

29) Participate in self-and others education, training and development as applicable and department s educational activities and training programs of the department.

30) Enrich patient experience with compassion, respect and dignity

31) Perform other applicable task and duties assigned within the realm of his/her knowledge, skills and abilities.
