Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Provide high-standard, quality patient care in accordance with the our Client Hospital mission, vision, and values within the Department of Pediatrics.

2. Deliver inpatient care for patients admitted under the Division of Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrics, either as the Most Responsible Physician (MRP) or as the covering physician during rest hours, weekends, holidays, or MRP leave. Assume full responsibility when on-call, acknowledging the demands of patient care. The specific responsibilities of the MRP are outlined in the Department's Policies and Procedures.

3. Provide care to Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrics patients in the ambulatory care facility. The duration and frequency of this service are determined by the needs and regulations of the organization, the Department of Pediatrics, and the Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrics service.

4. Determine the final disposition and care plan for assigned patients and coordinate referrals to other services as needed.

5. Offer consultation services within the Department and to other departments across the organization.

6. Demonstrate strong administrative and organizational skills, particularly in multidisciplinary developmental clinical settings, and effectively coordinate the healthcare team.

7. Perform diagnostic and/or therapeutic interventions and procedures for which specific privileges have been granted based on training, qualifications, experience, and skills.

8. Maintain knowledge of community-based resources available to children and families with special needs.

9. Participate in on-call coverage in accordance with departmental rules and regulations.

10. Actively contribute to the quality improvement programs within the Department of Pediatrics.

11. Supervise the clinical performance of junior staff and act as a professional role model.

12. Serve on departmental and organizational committees as appointed by the Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics or Executive Management.

13. Engage in scientific research and contribute to educational activities and postgraduate training programs, as per departmental policies.

14. Regularly participate in continuing education to acquire new skills and support professional development.

15. Advocate for the health and well-being of children and their families.

16. Adhere to all rules and regulations of the Department of Pediatrics and the organization. Consultants must be familiar with and comply with Administrative Policies and Procedures (APPs) and Departmental Policies and Procedures (DPPs).

17. Comply with all professional and ethical standards and uphold the Medical Staff Bylaws of the organization.

18. Perform other relevant duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics.

Benefits Accompanied Status contract with up to four (4) Eligible Dependents, one of whom must be a Spouse.

Air Transport On Initial Mobilization:

Air Transport, Excursion Economy Class Ticketing, for expatriate employees and eligible dependents from designated International airports to employment site on initial mobilization.

Annual Merit Increase:

annual merit increases from 0 to 1 step within the approved salary grid.

End of Service Award:

Upon the satisfactory completion of the contracted term of employment, the employee shall receive a Service Award as provided under Articles 84 & 85 of the Saudi Labor Law and Conditions as stated in the Program s policy.

Repatriation Ticket:

Air Transport from the work site (. e.g. Riyadh) to a designated International Airport for repatriating expatriate employees and their eligible dependents who either completed the contract, were terminated by the program, or have resigned after one year only.

Eligible dependents will not be entitled to a repatriation ticket if they are outside the Kingdom at the time of separation.

Ticketing Class entitlements are the same as mentioned in paragraph 1 above.

Annual Ticket:

Upon completion of the first contract year and re-contracting for a minimum of one (1) additional year, round-trip air transport for the expatriate employee and eligible dependents from the Program site to the designated airport and return.

Eligible dependent children studying abroad may request to change the routing of their annual ticket (round trip) from the point of hire or school location to the Program site or vice versa.

Ticketing Class entitlements are the same as mentioned in paragraph 1 above.

Housing Accommodation:

The Employer shall provide housing accommodation to expatriate employees and their eligible dependents based on their eligibility and housing availability.

Housing Allowance:

Employees who are neither offered nor provided of housing will be eligible to receive a monthly Housing Allowance as follows:

Transportation Allowance:

Employees who do not occupy Program-provided housing and who are not offered transportation to and from work will be eligible to receive a monthly Transportation Allowance

Business Leaves and Travel Allowance:

Business Leaves and Travel Allowance shall be provided in accordance with existing guidelines and policies of the Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs.

Mid-Year Benefits (Limited to Employees on Single Marital Status only)

The mid-year benefit is limited to employees under this Benefit Group who are on Single Marital Status only. Any changes in benefits will take effect upon re-contracting.

Employees shall be eligible for a Mid-Year Benefit once every contract year, not accruable, and it has to be taken within the contract year; otherwise, it will be forfeited. At the employee s option, this benefit can be in the form of either ten (10) consecutive calendar days of paid leave or as a round-trip ticket from the employee site to the point of hire. Ticketing entitlement for the employee to be the same as in paragraph 1 mentioned above. This benefit is subject to the employee scheduling the leave according to the employer's operational needs.
