Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and manage contracts throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments during contract negotiations to identify and mitigate potential issues before they arise.
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to ensure contract terms align with project goals and timelines.
- Prepare and review contract documents, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and adherence to company standards.
- Monitor contract performance and compliance, providing guidance to teams on contractual obligations and deliverables.
- Facilitate dispute resolution by analyzing contract terms and collaborating with legal teams to find amicable solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of contract modifications and amendments, ensuring all changes are documented and communicated.
- Provide training and support to project teams on contract management processes and best practices.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to negotiate terms and manage relationships effectively.
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in legislation that may impact contracts and procurement practices.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Law, or Business Administration, preferably with a focus on contract management.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in contract management within the construction, oil and gas, or engineering sectors.
- Demonstrated experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex contracts with a strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in contract management software and tools, alongside strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Fluent in English, with proficiency in additional languages being an asset, especially for international projects.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex legal documents and contract terms effectively.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of fostering positive relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Cultural sensitivity and adaptability, with a preference for candidates who have international experience in contract management.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM) or similar are highly desirable.
