Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
The Creative Director is the guardian of the brands creative DNA. You will define, institutionalise, and continuously evolve the company's design language while ensuring it is translated into clear standards, guidelines, SOPs, and governance frameworks that enable consistent, first-time-right delivery at scale.
This role goes beyond ideation. It requires a leader who can set direction, enforce standards, make decisions, and hold teams accountable, while maintaining a luxury aesthetic that is innovative, disciplined, and execution-ready.
Key Responsibilities
Creative Vision & Governance
- Define and continuously refine the company's creative philosophy, spatial principles, material hierarchy, detailing standards, colour strategies, and FF&E integration
- Translate creative vision into documented guidelines, standards, and governance frameworks
- Ensure consistent application of creative standards across all projects, with structured review and corrective mechanisms
Quality, Reviews & Accountability
- Lead structured creative reviews and quality retrospectives with clear decision-making authority
- Ensure measurable creative outcomes, including strong first-submission approval rates
- Enforce review discipline, timely feedback, and accountability for creative decisions
- Identify recurring quality or review issues and convert them into system-level improvements
Commercial & Operational Alignment
- Ensure creative decisions align with project timelines, revenue milestones, and commercial commitments
- Partner with Planning and Operations to ensure creative ambition remains buildable, realistic, and commercially viable
- Proactively flag creative risks that may impact cost, schedule, or client confidence
Leadership & Enforcement
- Lead, influence, and enforce creative standards across interior design, FF&E, and technical teams
- Address non-compliance or quality deviations through structured corrective action
- Maintain strong on-site leadership presence during key project phases
Innovation & Brand Development
- Drive practical, execution-ready innovation aligned with brand positioning
- Oversee FF&E library governance, ensuring quality, originality, and commercial viability
- Support external visibility through senior-level creative representation, collaborations, and industry engagement
Desired Candidate Profile
15+ years of experience in interior design, architecture, or design-led consultancies
- Proven experience as a Creative Director / Design Director in luxury residential, hospitality, or mixed-use environments
- Strong ability to translate creativity into systems, standards, and governance
- Excellent aesthetic judgment combined with strong technical and execution understanding
- Confident decision-maker with authority, structure, and clarity
- Comfortable working closely with executive leadership in high-accountability environments
