Roles & Responsibilities
YOUR ROLE
The Customs Operations Manager and Authorized Person supervises and coordinates the activities of the customs declarant team. They ensure the quality and compliance of all declarations (import/export), optimize the organization of files, and guarantee compliance with customs and tax regulations in force in Morocco, as well as the company's quality, safety, and hygiene standards.
As a qualified person, he provides the transit approval, represents the company to customs authorities and contributes to the continuous improvement of the service.
WHAT YOU ARE GOING TO DO
- Supervise and coordinate the team of customs declarants
- Organize activities and manage priorities
- Train, support and evaluate employees
- Supervise import/export customs clearance operations
- Check and validate customs declarations
- Garantir la conformit la r glementation douani re et fiscale
- Managing complex cases and handling disputes
- Represent the company with the Customs Administration
- Coordinate with clients and internal teams
- Ensure administrative follow-up (BADR, archiving, data entry)
- Managing performance and implementing continuous improvement
- To monitor regulations and provide advice on customs matters
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum Bac+3 in logistics and transport, international trade, etc.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position.
- Holder of a valid transit permit.
- In-depth mastery of customs regulations in Morocco.
- Excellent knowledge of import/export procedures and the BADR system.
- Proficiency in computer tools and customs management software.
- Mastery of French. English is an asset.
- In-depth knowledge of customs regulations in Morocco
- Excellent organizational and administrative management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and solve problems quickly.
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
- Rigour and precision in the handling of files.
- Customer service skills and ability to work in a team.
- Adaptability and flexibility in the face of change.
