SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data preparation, SQL, and dashboard development, with the ability to translate complex datasets into actionable insights. This role requires a balance of technical proficiency, business acumen, and strong communication skills to support institutional decision-making and compliance reporting.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Prepare, clean, and transform data using Excel, Power BI, and Tableau for operational and strategic reporting.

- Build interactive dashboards and KPI reports that support data-driven decisions across departments.

- Query relational and non-relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) to extract and analyze datasets.

- Operate and monitor pre-configured ETL/ELT pipelines for scheduled data extraction and reporting.

- Conduct descriptive, inferential, and predictive statistical analyses to identify trends and insights.

- Ensure compliance with institutional and regulatory reporting standards (e.g., IPEDS, UAE Ministry).

- Automate repetitive reporting tasks using Excel macros, Power Automate, or Power BI scripting.

- Maintain metadata documentation, data dictionaries, and contribute to internal audits.

- Troubleshoot BI dashboards and escalate technical issues when needed.

- Contribute to workshops, knowledge transfer programs, and cross-departmental collaborations.

QUALIFICATION:

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in data science, Statistics, or Computer Science.

EXPERIENCE:

- Minimum 7 years of experience in Data Analysis, Business Intelligence, or related fields.

- Proven experience in cleaning, transforming, and visualizing data through Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent platforms.

- Strong SQL knowledge for querying and manipulating relational databases.

- Experience with institutional reporting, KPI tracking, or policy impact analysis is highly desirable.

- BI/Analytics certifications (e.g., Microsoft Power BI, Tableau Desktop Specialist) are preferred.

SKILLS:

- Proficiency in Power BI/Tableau dashboard design and KPI reporting.

- Strong SQL skills for data querying and relational database management.

- Advanced R programming for statistical analysis and visualization.

- Hands-on experience in data cleaning, transformation, and preparation.

- Familiarity with institutional and compliance reporting standards.

- Automation skills using Excel macros, Power Automate, or BI scripting.

- Ability to interpret complex datasets and present insights to non-technical stakeholders.

- Basic knowledge of AI-augmented dashboards and emerging BI trends.

- Report troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning.

- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
