DeFi Analyst

You will join a tight and collaborative investment team. You will develop an in-depth understanding of the key verticals and technologies shaping DeFi, with an eye to identifying value in the market, and high-growth investment opportunities. You will continually hone your analytical skills on the job, and create detailed investment memos. You will be expected to develop a network that you can leverage to reach and vet talented founders, and generate deal flow.

Key Responsibilities

Deal Analysis

• Conduct thorough analysis of DeFi protocols, tokenomics, and market dynamics, in order to develop conviction on growing segments and attractive technologies or products
• Create detailed investment memos and financial models for potential investments
• Monitor market trends and identify emerging opportunities in the DeFi space

Deal Sourcing

• Proactively generate deal flow within the DeFi investment strategy, across both venture and liquid investments.
• Build and maintain relationships with founders and operators in the DeFi ecosystem that you hone to keep growing your network web - ideally resulting in valuable deal flow
• Screen incoming investment opportunities
• Support deal flow management and pipeline tracking
• Attend relevant industry events and network with founders

Portfolio Management

• Monitor portfolio company performance and token metrics
• Prepare regular portfolio updates and performance reports
• Support portfolio companies with strategic initiatives and research
• Track competitive landscape and market developments

Research & Thought Leadership

• Identify trends and segments to continuously refine our view on where there is (underpriced) value in the market and investment strategy
• Write blog posts and knowledge nuggets (through medium and twitter)
• Represent the firm at industry events and conferences
