Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Prepare a variety of cold kitchen items including salads, sandwiches, canapés, finger foods, and platters

  • Assist in designing and preparing high tea menu items (savory and sweet selections)

  • Ensure high standards of presentation, portioning, and plating for buffet and à la carte service

  • Support Chef de Partie in daily cold kitchen operations and mise en place

  • Maintain consistency in taste, texture, and visual appeal of all cold preparations

  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of cold food items as per HACCP standards

  • Maintain strict hygiene and temperature control in cold kitchen operations

  • Assist in menu development for high tea and event catering setups

  • Monitor stock levels and support requisition of fresh ingredients

  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of workstations and equipment

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent, culinary school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Possesses a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a professional kitchen, with experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of culinary techniques, food safety, and kitchen operations, relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Proficient in various cooking methods, including grilling, sautéing, and roasting, with a focus on quality and speed.
