Job Summary-

As a Commis I, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of different dishes in the kitchen under the guidance of a Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.

Job Responsibility-

  • Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, such as chopping vegetables, butchering meat, and preparing sauces.
  • Follow recipes and instructions from Chef de Partie or Sous Chef to ensure consistency in the dishes.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen at all times.
  • Assist in receiving and storing food deliveries.
  • Help in setting up and organizing workstations before and after cooking.

Candidate Requirements-

  • Proven experience as a kitchen assistant or similar role.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and take direction from superiors.
  • Basic understanding of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
  • Willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic kitchen environment.

Job Summary-

The Demi Chef de Partie will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and production of high-quality dishes within their assigned kitchen section. They will work under the guidance of the Chef de Partie and help maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.

  • Ensure that food quality, presentation, and portion control are maintained at all times.
  • Follow proper food handling and safety procedures to prevent food contamination and wastage.
  • Help in maintaining kitchen equipment and utensils in good working condition.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service.

Candidate Requirements-

  • Proven experience working as a Demi Chef de Partie or in a similar role in a professional kitchen.
  • Solid understanding of culinary techniques, food safety standards, and kitchen operations.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Culinary degree or certification is a plus.
