Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Perform denting, panel beating, reshaping, and metal finishing work on accident-damaged vehicles (taxis, VIP vehicles, buses, bikes, etc.).
Assess damage and determine the appropriate repair method in coordination with estimators or body-shop supervisors.
Use body alignment equipment, hydraulic tools, and hand tools to repair structural damage or body panels.
Weld or replace damaged body parts such as fenders, bumpers, and quarter panels using appropriate methods (MIG welding, spot welding, etc.).
Ensure quality of denting work before sending the vehicle to the paint section.
Document completed jobs and report any issues or additional repairs needed.
Restore the fleet based on the manufacture or factory standards.
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of the assigned work area and tools.
Support workshop productivity by completing jobs within estimated time and minimizing rework
Ensure proper use of PPE.
Identify and report any hazards and incidents in nearness.
Enforce compliance with all safety protocols, quality standards, and DTC’s internal policies, fostering a safe and organized workshop environment.
Ensure adherence with quality, health, safety, and environmental standards and promote a culture of technical excellence.
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum 3 years of experience in denting/accident repair, preferably in a commercial fleet or dealership workshop with prior experience in using tools such as body hammers, dollies, pulling systems, welding machines, and grinders.
Experience with aluminium and steel body repairs is an advantage.
Familiar with repair procedures for various vehicle brands and models.
Workshop-based with exposure to noise, dust, and workshop equipment.
Minimum High School Certificate or Technical Diploma in Automotive Body Repair or equivalent is required.
