Deputy Project Director Major Gas Development

Procer Energy is supporting an EPC client in sourcing an experienced Deputy Project Director for a large-scale gas development project in Iraq comprising gas processing facilities, gas compression, onshore pipelines, Condensate/LPG storage & loading terminal, utilities/offsites, and associated marine works.

This is a senior, permanent on-site leadership role based in Baghdad / Basrah, with occasional travel to Dubai.

The Role: As the senior on-site representative, you will interface directly with Iraqi authorities, NOCs, and governmental institutions, while working in close coordination with the Project Director based in Dubai. This is a highly visible, institutionally significant position requiring deep industry credibility and strong stakeholder management skills.

What We re Looking For:

• Minimum 15 years experience on large-scale Oil & Gas EPC projects
• Proven in-country experience in Iraq mandatory
• Strong technical background in gas processing, pipelines & LPG infrastructure
• Native Arabic speaker with fluent English mandatory
• PMP / PMI certified
• Engineering degree (Process or Mechanical preferred)
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate and engage with NOCs, regulators & government bodies
• Proven leadership in complex, multicultural project environments

Assignment Details:

• Location: Iraq (Baghdad / Basrah) permanent residence required
• Occasional travel to Dubai
