Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Engineering work on Substation Automation related to MV and LV Switchgear, Motor Control Center, HV Relay and Control Panels. Engineering related to Substation Automation System for LV/MV Switchgear and Relay and Control Panels for HV/EHV application. Developing logic diagrams for customer review and approval. Preparing signal list, internal variable list and configuration of relays (offline) related to Power System documentation. Interface with client end user and Power System Automation Vendor on finalizing the SAS requirements in line with project requirements. Configuration of relays (IEDs) for Protection, Control, Monitoring using relay manufacturers software tools for all protection functions. Preparing SCL files like ICD/CID/SCD files etc. to meet customer requirements. Cooperation and coordination with PSA vendors, production and quality teams to resolve issues and improve design quality. Ensure timely completion of integrated FAT (iFAT) testing to meet the project schedule.

Desired Candidate Profile

Minimum 5 years working experience in Engineering, testing during Factory and Site Acceptance Tests and commissioning activities related to Substation Automation System. Good experience in CAD software like AutoCAD, Vision for presenting architecture and logic diagrams.


Knowledge in Substation Automation Systems and similar Engineering work.
Familiar with International Technical Standards (ANSI/IEC/UL) related to job category.
Relay configuration and Industrial communication protocols.
Awareness of QMS, EMS Policies and standards (ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015)
Awareness of Safety and Procedures Awareness of QMS, EMS
Experience in using Relays Software of ABB, Siemens, Alstom, GE, SEL, etc. for Protection, Control, Monitoring and Communication and configuration of the HMI for relay and meter.
