Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Supervise the operation, maintenance, and upgrades of buildings, utilities, and systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, elevators, etc.).

Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.

Plan and implement facility improvement and sustainability initiatives.

Oversee security, housekeeping, hospitality, and internal transportation services.

Monitor service contracts and ensure vendors meet required quality and performance standards.

Enhance the quality and continuity of general services provided to the organization.

Manage and oversee maintenance and operations teams, assigning tasks to achieve optimal efficiency.

Provide training and development programs to enhance staff skills and performance.

Conduct performance evaluations and implement motivational strategies for the teams.

Develop and manage the facilities and services budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness.

Identify opportunities to reduce operational expenses without compromising service quality.

Implement energy-saving initiatives and sustainability strategies for cost optimization.

Collaborate with internal departments to align facility operations with organizational goals.

Prepare reports on facility performance, maintenance, and service quality for senior management.

Liaise with government authorities, suppliers, and service providers to ensure regulatory compliance.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor s degree in Facilities Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (Master s degree preferred).

Experience:

  • 7-10 years of experience in facilities and general services management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of local regulations related to facility management and public services.

Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive facilities management strategy aligned with the university s mission, vision, and strategic plan.Lead the planning and execution of campus development projects, including new construction, renovations, and space optimization.
