Scope of The Position:

District Geologist adopt discovery-oriented mentality to leads teams and programs toward discoveries and exceptional acquisitions. Implement efficient exploration programs and evaluate proposed projects. Formulate short and intermediate term business plans; ensuring alignment with the organization's overall strategy. District Geologist is reponsible from exploration activities over a significant district to continuity of works required.

ꞏRange of exploration terrains or belts (at least 2 ) and significant knowledge of at least 2 commodities, understanding a further 2 or significant depth of knowledge in single commodity or exploration process

Task Types:

ꞏEnsure of QAQC protocols, data quality, implementation of QA-QC procedures
ꞏSupport and design exploration programs from the project generation stage through project development in mine site and greenfield environments
ꞏImplement QAQC procedures,
ꞏSets priorities and allocates resources
ꞏFormulates the annual operating and capital budgets for exploration
ꞏDirectly responsible for all generative and due diligence programs for all exploration conducted in the assigned region
ꞏProactively ensures that all exploration activities are in line with safety and environmental standards
ꞏCoordinates the geologic-related aspects for project development such as geotechnical, mineral modeling and work with technical services teams on ore reserve estimates
ꞏLeads business processes, policies, systems, and practices within exploration that maximize operational efficiencies and competitive advantage
ꞏSets performance targets and measures, monitors, and manages the overall performance of the function and direct reports
ꞏProvide coaching and mentoring to junior staff
ꞏPossess a positive attitude at all times and good organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
ꞏCompliance with all company policies and procedures including, but not limited to safety, environmental, confidentiality and code of conduct.
ꞏPreparing annual exploration reports, progress reports and presentations
ꞏDesign project proposals and calculate project budgets and fees,
ꞏEnsuring that all company safety standards, policies, and procedures are followed along with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the Mining Act and Regulations

Qualifications:

ꞏBachelor’s and MSc Degree (or PhD preferable) in relevant Geoscience discipline from an accredited institution
ꞏ10-15 years of relevant experience in mineral exploration or development or greenfield targeting teams, from generative grassroots work through drill-testing and resouce conversion campaigns.
ꞏStrong multi-commodity and multi-jurisdiction geoscience targeting background, experienced with the geological manifestations of Cu, Ni, Zn, Li, Ag, Au, and REE systems in the Archean Crust.
ꞏComprehensive understanding of the mineral discovery challenge, specifically under covered terrain, mineral deposit geology, and mineral system fundamentals.
ꞏDemonstrated project management organization skills, including creating and implementing strategy, construction of a work plan and construction and management of a budget, and team leadership.
ꞏDemonstrated excellent technical written, verbal, and presentation communication skills in English.
ꞏExperience leading and executing field operations, including logistics preparations with high-standard and non-compromise safety requirements.
ꞏExperience and highly skilled in field analysis, mapping, sampling, documentation, mentoring and reporting.
ꞏExperience in identifying and analyzing geoscientific and geophysics datasets across various scales.
ꞏExtensive hands-on GIS experience (Preferably Arcpro)
ꞏExtensive QA-QC, data management experince
ꞏExperienced in presenting mineral projects clearly and compellingly to different audiences, including non-technical ones.
ꞏExperience on team management, goal, objective and time management
