Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Job Summary:
The Drilling & Workover Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating drilling and workover activities to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations. The role involves supervising field personnel, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards, and optimizing well performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise daily drilling and workover operations at site
Ensure all activities are carried out in compliance with HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards
Coordinate with drilling engineers, contractors, and service providers
Monitor rig performance, operational efficiency, and well integrity
Review and implement drilling and workover programs
Identify and troubleshoot operational issues and provide effective solutions
Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment and tools
Conduct site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports
Control operational costs and optimize resource utilization
Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Provide leadership, training, and guidance to field teams
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field (preferred)
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in drilling and workover operations
Proven experience in a supervisory role in oil & gas field operations
Strong knowledge of drilling techniques, well control, and workover procedures
Valid well control certification (e.g., IWCF / IADC)
Strong leadership and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and coordination abilities
Ability to work under pressure and in remote field locations
