Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

As a Driver for the Banquet Department, you will provide transportation and operational support for banquet functions and events, ensuring all deliveries and movements are completed safely and efficiently. A Banquet Driver is expected to perform the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Transport banquet equipment, materials, supplies, and food items to and from event locations as required
  • Assist in loading and unloading banquet items safely and efficiently
  • Ensure timely delivery and collection of banquet-related materials for events and functions
  • Support the F&B team with event setup and breakdown when required
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper condition of assigned vehicles at all times
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
  • Coordinate with the F&B Department regarding schedules, event requirements, and transportation needs
  • Maintain proper handling and storage of banquet equipment during transportation to avoid damage
  • Stay informed about event schedules, routes, venue locations, and operational requirements
  • Comply with all hotel security, fire regulations, traffic laws, and Health & Safety legislation
  • Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, teamwork, and a positive attitude at all times
  • Ensure all deliveries and transportation activities are carried out with accuracy, care, and efficiency

Desired Candidate Profile

Drivers serving the F&B Department are always working on behalf of the hotel and supporting the F&B Operations Team. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviors, skills, and values that follow:

  • A minimum of 2 years of previous experience working as a driver, preferably in the hotel, hospitality, events, catering, or logistics sector
  • Valid driving license with a clean driving record
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays based on event schedules
  • Physically fit and capable of loading, unloading, and handling banquet equipment and supplies
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work under pressure during busy operations
  • Calm, professional, and team-oriented attitude
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety procedures

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • Experience supporting banquet operations or large-scale events
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Knowledge of local routes, event venues, and surrounding areas
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with Banquet, Kitchen, and Stewarding teams
  • Understanding of Health & Safety and safe handling procedures for banquet equipment
