About Dubai Government Human Resources Department

The establishment of the DGHR Department is a pioneering step in the development of government cadres in the Emirate of Dubai. Its formation is part of the wise vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to promote government performance, and enhance the efficiency of its operations and results. Therefore, the DGHR Department today plays a central role in consolidating the awareness and knowledge related to modern human resource management systems and applications as well as adopting leading international practices. The aim is to integrate human development initiatives with the strategic objectives of Dubai Plan 2021.
