Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
As an Economist with Bloomberg Economics in Dubai, UAE, you will provide in-depth analysis of Russia and Central and Eastern European economies. The role requires timely insights on monetary and fiscal policy, structural economic trends, and market-moving data releases, while also engaging with Bloomberg clients and media platforms.
What You ll Do
- Produce economic forecasts and research focused on Russia and Central and Eastern Europe.
- Deliver rapid, high-quality analysis of economic data releases and central bank decisions.
- Contribute quotes and perspectives for Bloomberg news stories and collaborate with economics reporters.
- Participate in global research projects within the Bloomberg Economics team.
- Represent Bloomberg at conferences, client meetings, and media appearances.
- Support thematic research on global macroeconomic and geopolitical trends.
Desired Candidate Profile
Ideal Profile
- Graduate degree in Economics or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven expertise in analyzing Russia and CEE economic data, policy, and structural challenges.
- Strong econometrics skills and experience with policy analysis are an advantage.
- Excellent English communication; knowledge of a relevant regional language preferred.
- Ability to generate timely insights across multiple formats, from short-form commentary to long-form research.
- Proactive, energetic, and capable of delivering consistent high-quality analysis.
