Roles & Responsibilities
Job Summary The End User Support Specialist provides first- and second-level technical support to employees, ensuring reliable access to hardware, software, and IT services. This role focuses on troubleshooting issues, resolving incidents efficiently, and delivering a positive user experience.
Key Responsibilities • Provide technical support to end users via phone, email, chat, or in person • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, and peripheral issues • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and printers • Support operating systems (Windows/macOS) and common business applications • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access (e.g., Active Directory, Microsoft 365) • Document incidents, solutions, and procedures in the ticketing system • Escalate complex issues to higher-level support teams when necessary • Assist with onboarding/offboarding by setting up and decommissioning user equipment • Ensure compliance with IT policies, security standards, and best practices • Provide basic user training and guidance to improve IT adoption and efficiency
Desired Candidate Profile
Required Skills & Qualifications • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience) • 1–3 years of experience in end user or help desk support • Strong knowledge of Windows/macOS environments • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, email systems, and collaboration tools • Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VPN, Wi-Fi) • Experience with ticketing systems and remote support tools • Excellent communication and customer service skills • Strong problem-solving and time-management abilities
Preferred Qualifications • IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, ITIL, Microsoft certifications) • Experience supporting remote or hybrid work environments • Knowledge of endpoint management tools (Intune, SCCM, JAMF)
