Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary

To ensure the seamless functioning of diverse mechanical systems and uphold the operational efficiency of the hotel's physical facilities. Encompass wide range of tasks related to maintenance, repair, and safety.

To perform various duties ensuring orderly and timely completion of works orders received by know cross system and perform a various work order involved maintaining preventive maintenance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain complete knowledge and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures and standards.
  • Diagnoses, repairs, and maintains of mechanical plant rooms, swimming pools, water features, water fountain and water filtration systems.
  • Maintain all plant equipment and systems regularly to reduce downtime and ensure peak performance.
  • Maintain detailed records of all plant equipment and system maintenance activities.
  • Optimize the performance of plant equipment and systems and keep accurate records of all plant equipment and systems.
  • Ensure continuous cleanliness and organization in all plant rooms to uphold optimal functionality and safety standards.
  • Maintain the pools, water foundations, all water features using proper chemicals and cleaners.
  • Respond to swimming pool related work orders in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner to assess and repair non-functioning machinery or equipment.
  • Conduct routine maintenance of water fountains, and water features which includes cleaning, replacing components, and addressing issues related to water quality, flow, and lighting.
  • Logging and reporting plant room equipment faults and water quality problems to Engineering Supervisor and Duty Engineer.
  • Tests the chemical levels in public swimming pools and other water systems and adjusts as needed.
  • Maintains manual or automated records of all activities and prepares daily / weekly / monthly reports.
  • Conduct routine inspections, implement preventive maintenance measures, and promptly address repairs for plant rooms, ensuring the seamless operation of all equipment and plumbing systems.
  • Operates and inspects tools and equipment and makes minor adjustments and repairs.
  • Check with duty engineer/Engineering Supervisor for the priority job. Check the logbook for follow up jobs.
  • If the maintenance takes longer time to complete, immediately communicate with the Engineering Supervisor and Duty Engineer.
  • Ensure close the maintenance request in communication devise after completing the job.
  • Respond promptly to Knowcross service orders made from made for requests, assistance, or emergency work orders.
  • Take the utilities meter reading and update in the system accordingly.
  • Always keep premises clean and tidy after completing the job.
  • Communicate with Duty engineer/ Engineering Supervisor of daily work progress before ending the shift.
  • Ensure log down into the logbook before ending the shift.
  • Follow all the Departmental procedures and instructions.
  • Follow hotel policy and procedure while entering guest rooms for repairs.
  • Ensure tag-out and lock-out procedures are followed when working on electrically powered equipment.
  • Always maintain safety procedures/conditions in working area and other associated areas.
  • Understand and practice hotel emergency fire precaution procedures.
  • Ensure team work to achieve the Engineering departmental goal.
  • All the equipment is clean and in good working condition in all the MEP plant rooms.
  • Swimming pool plants rooms are well maintained/ cleaned and always organized.
  • Ensure the use of all required of Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) while on duty.
  • Maintain and repair all guestrooms and public areas in accordance with the Perfect Room Program (PRP) procedures and standards guideline.
  • Report all incidents and work-related injuries concern department and DOE.
  • Attending all training arranged by Hygiene, Health & Safety Manager such as safety training, safety
  • Induction, on the job training, toolbox talks, etc.
  • Monitor Know cross application and respond promptly to any escalated requests made for problems, assistance, or emergency work orders.

  • Be aware of all existing departmental Job Safety Analysis and Risk assessments and strive to work in an accident-free manner and to create a safe work environment for others. To continuously look for conditions which may endanger associates or guests of the hotel and to take immediate action to correct any hazardous conditions found.
  • Be aware of and comply with safe working practices as laid down under the Health and Safety rules, regulations, and procedures as applicable to your place of work. This will include your awareness of any specific hazards at your workplace.
  • The wearing of appropriate protective clothing provided by or recommended by the Company will be obligatory.
  • Report any defects in the building, plant, or equipment according to hotel procedure.
  • Ensure that any accidents to associates, guests or visitors are reported immediately in accordance with correct procedures.
