Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Oversee and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities to ensure reliable

performance and compliance with safety and food standards.

  • Develop, implement, and monitor preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend asset life.
  • Implementation of Engineering projects.
  • Coordinate maintenance schedules with production and quality teams to reduce operational disruptions.
  • Track, analyse, and report on equipment performance, downtime, and maintenance KPIs, recommending efficiency improvements.
  • Manage installation, commissioning, calibration, and optimization of new equipment and automation systems.
  • Prepare SOPs, checklists, and technical documentation for critical plant assets.
  • Manage external vendors, OEMs, and contractors for installation, upgrades, and specialized repairs.
  • Utilize CMMS and data analytics for predictive insights and smarter maintenance planning.
  • Utilize data analytics and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) for smarter maintenance planning.
  • Explore robotics and automation to enhance efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
  • Work closely with production, quality, and safety teams to ensure alignment of maintenance with operational needs.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of 8 to 12 years in maintenance roles within the food manufacturing or related industry.
  • Proven experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance of production equipment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Arabic is essential.
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer or similar role within the food manufacturing industry.
