Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed field research to study insect populations, behaviors, and interactions within ecosystems, ensuring data accuracy and scientific rigor.
  • Develop and execute pest management strategies, utilizing Integrated Pest Management (IPM) principles to minimize environmental impact and protect crops or structures.
  • Identify and classify insect species, employing taxonomic keys and advanced identification techniques to maintain a comprehensive insect collection.
  • Analyze data from experiments and field observations, utilizing statistical software to draw meaningful conclusions and support scientific findings.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Entomology, Biology, or a related field, providing a strong foundation in insect science.
  • Relevant certifications in entomology or pest management, demonstrating specialized knowledge and professional competence.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in entomology research or related roles, showcasing practical application of entomological principles.
  • Experience working within the agricultural, environmental, or public health industries, indicating industry-specific knowledge.
