Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Lead the preparation of comprehensive tender submissions, including technical and financial proposals, ensuring 100% compliance with client requirements and UAE regulations.
Conduct precise quantity take-offs from IFC drawings, site plans, and specifications for fiber optic cable laying, trenching, and related infrastructure works.
Build detailed unit rate analyses (labor, material, plant, and equipment) specifically for fiber optic installations, including splicing, testing (OTDR/LSPM), and civil ducting.
Source and evaluate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers; maintain a robust database of local market rates in the UAE.
Participate in pre-tender site visits to assess terrain, logistics, and potential risks that may impact project costs.
Draft technical narratives, method statements, and project schedules (Primavera/MS Project) to support the commercial bid.
Manage post-tender clarifications, attend negotiation meetings, and assist in finalizing contract documents.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s or Master Degree in Civil Engineering.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in the UAE specifically within the infrastructure sector.
Proven track record in estimating for utility cable laying, fiber optic networks, or underground infrastructure projects.
Good skills in MS Excel (for complex costing sheets), AutoCAD (for take-offs), and estimation software (e.g., Candy CCS).
Strong understanding of UAE tendering procedures, FIDIC contracts, and local authority standards.
