Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Prepares and estimates budget costs for joinery/construction by studying plans and specifications.
Studying documentation, meeting with clients, and inspecting the construction site to fully understand what work is required.
Prepare comprehensive and well-organized cost estimates, including breakdowns of labor and material costs, for review by project managers and clients.
Getting quotes from suppliers and contractors.
Assessing the risk levels associated with a project.
Work closely with project managers and designers.
Desired Candidate Profile
Ability to navigate specifications and plans
Proficiency in demonstrating proposals and projects
Ability to handle multiple assignments
Strong knowledge of joinery materials, techniques, and building codes/regulations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred.
Experience with joinery-specific estimation software or CAD is required.
At least 3 years of proven experience as a joinery estimator or similar role in the construction industry.
Professional certification in estimating is a plus.
