Estimator (Pre-Contract)

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and cost plans across multiple project stages
• Carry out quantity take-offs and measurement in accordance with industry standards
• Assist with feasibility studies and initial budget preparation
• Produce and manage tender documentation, including Bills of Quantities (BoQs)
• Support the tender process, including analysis and evaluation of contractor submissions
• Provide value engineering input and cost optimisation advice
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure cost objectives are achieved
• Maintain and update cost databases and benchmarking data
• Monitor market trends, including material and subcontractor pricing

Requirements:

• Bachelor s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or similar
• 3 6 years experience within a cost consultancy or quantity surveying role
• Strong pre-contract experience across residential, hospitality, and general building projects
• Experience in the UAE or wider GCC market is preferred
• Proficiency in estimating tools and advanced Excel skills
• Good understanding of procurement methods and standard forms of contract
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience working within a consultancy environment is preferred, but contractor experience accepted.
